The workshop will be held in the Collins Building at the University of Strathclyde, which houses the beautiful Court/Senate suite. The address is 22 Richmond Street, Glasgow G1 1XQ, UK. The university map showing the Collins Building is here.

Travel by train
You can get to Glasgow by train. The West Coast line (Virgin) terminates at Central Station, which is a 10 minute walk from the University. The East Coast line (GNER & Virgin) goes through Edinburgh. The local train from Edinburgh to Glasgow terminates at Queen St Station, which is a 5 minute walk from the University.

Travel by air
Glasgow international airport (code: GLA) has reasonably good international connections and of course there are flights to/from London and Amsterdam. There is an airport bus (every 10-15 minutes?) that drives into the city and stops at major hotels and Buchanan Bus station (1 block north of Queen St train station, 5-minute walk to the University). A taxi will take about 15-20 minutes and should cost about £15.
Prestwick International Airport (code: PIK) is around 30 miles from the city centre and has its own train station with trains running to Glasgow Central Station every half hour and taking approximately 45 minutes.
On this wiki is a list and map of locations with direct service to Glasgow International Airport. Some important ones are London Heathrow (BA, BMI, etc), Amsterdam Schiphol (KLM), Newark (Continental), and Toronto (Zoom). An interesting option is to fly Iceland Air via Reykjavik where you can make a stopover and swim in the Blue Lagoon. Check EasyJet, FlyBE, and RyanAir if you come from Europe.
